SumeetSSG Partners with Apollo Hospitals Group,Over 1,000 Ambulances to Be Deployed

Pune: SumeetSSG has partnered with Apollo Hospitals Group’s subsidiaries – URLife and Apollo MedSkills – to elevate Maharashtra’s emergency medical response infrastructure under the Maharashtra Emergency Medical Services (MEMS108) project.

This large-scale collaboration aims to redefine emergency care accessibility, quality, and efficiency across the state.

As part of the project rollout, SumeetSSG will deploy more than 1,000 ambulances across Maharashtra, ensuring rapid and reliable emergency response coverage in both urban and rural regions.

The initiative focuses on providing free-of-cost, life-saving care during critical emergencies, bridging healthcare access gaps across the state.

Apollo’s URLife and MedSkills to Strengthen Workforce and Training

Leveraging Apollo’s extensive healthcare ecosystem, URLife will lead the recruitment of over 2,300 doctors, while Apollo MedSkills will train and mobilize 4,500 emergency medical professionals under the Medical Emergency Response Protocol (MERP).

This protocol, aligned with NHM, NABH, NMC, AIIMS, and ICMR guidelines, sets a national benchmark for standardized emergency care.

The training program will focus on life-saving interventions, trauma management, and patient safety practices, ensuring that emergency personnel are equipped with the skills and confidence to deliver effective, compassionate care in time-sensitive situations.

MEMS108, one of the world’s largest emergency medical service networks, represents a significant step forward in Maharashtra’s healthcare capacity building. The collaboration integrates SumeetSSG’s operational expertise, SSG Spain’s European EMS knowledge, and Apollo’s clinical excellence, creating a synergistic model aimed at setting new standards in emergency response delivery.
